A limited first edition of this pamphlet of two poems by Elizabeth Barrett and Robert Browning, printed for a charity fundraiser. The first edition, limited to three hundred copies that were printed for a fundraising bazaar. The sale proceeds were donated to the ragged schools, charities to help provide free education for poor children.A pamphlet containing two poems by the husband and wife Elizabeth Barrett and Robert Browning, comprising of 'A Plea For the Ragged Schools of London' by Elizabeth and 'The Twins' by Robert.Elizabeth and Robert were prominent figures in the Romantic literary scene of the Victorian era. They married to the disapproval of Elizabeth's father, moving together to Italy in 1846, where both of these poems were written. The couple had a dog named Flush, he was the subject of a novel by Virginia Woolf. In the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally, wraps are a little age-toned with some light spots.
