First edition, ninth impression 1962, published by George Allen & Unwin. Correct impression dust jacket, neatly price clipped, prices of the other volumes to the rear flap also neatly blacked out. Historical tape remnants to the verso, very faintly visible from the front, light creasing towards the top edge. Jacket otherwise quite bright. Red cloth covers, bright gilt lettering to the spine, red top edge partly faded, covers with a few marks, fore edge with heavy spotting, occasionally creeping into the margins, endpapers with tape remnants and a previous owners name in pen, binding weave visible between half title and opposing blank, remaining secure, last page has a small area of paper surface which has transferred to the opposing page, next to the map, including some text. Fold out map with a 1.5 inch tear to the edge at a fold point. Overall about good condition.
