Later printing, a very good copy in the publisher's cloth, a but dulled and scuffed at the edges. Duncan McCallum's copy with his bookplate and name on the front end paper, with another previous owner's name on the half title. McCallum undertook an ambitions journey overland from Peking to London from 1927 to 1928 and this is recounted in his book 'China to Chelsea: A Modern Pilgrimage Along Ancient Highways' (1930). This book has a bookseller's stamp from HongKong and may have been purchased on his travels.
