U.S. Infantry Weapons of the First World War

Canfield has written widely on 20th-century US military weapons, and here focuses on The Great War for fans and collectors. Photographs are available of almost everything he describes, which include edged weapons, handguns, rifles, shotguns, automatic rifles, machine guns, grenades and launchers, trench mortars, the 37 mm gun, and flame throwers. He describes some weapons that were developed but never deployed. He includes notes for collectors. Annotation c. Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
