In the original tan-brown cloth bound boards, with bright gilt titling to the spine. The base colour to the spine is very lightly faded but all lettering/titling is still very clear and bright. NO dustjacket. Very Slight rubbing to the tips of the corner o/e NO damage and Overall a Very Good, tight and bright copy. Stated First Edition. First printing. Page fore-edges lightly dust-ingrained, but no foxing or marks. Internally EXCELLENT but with the inscription of ' Alice J. Warren Hastings 1935 ' inside on the front free endpaper. No other Inscriptions or Marks. VERY clean, tight and bright inside. 444 pp + 4pp Publisher's catalogue at the end. With a Preface; an introduction by Dr. L. H. Dudley Buxton. Frontispiece and 4 b/w plates. 2 large folding maps. Illustration, charts. Folding Pedigree Chart at the end. Appendix. Index.
