Frank Herbert's article, "UFO Buzzes Train" - about a genuinely inexplicable incident which occurred in north central Indiana on October 3, 1958 - is here reprinted with permission from Fate magazine. Just as interesting, a back-page excerpt from a 12/24/59 Defense Department statement in which the seriousness of UFO phenomena is acknowledged, the Air Force's 3 concerns per "AFR 200-2" are pointed out, and the DD statement encourages reporting of sightings to Wright Patterson AFB's Air Technical Intelligence Center.
