No edition/printing statement provided - presumed first edition per Dorrance review slip laid-in which announces publication date as 12/15/60. [4], 219 pages. Hardcover: H 21cm x L 14cm. Dust jacket lightly rubbed; 1cm deep chip at front panel's bottom margin; other lesser chipping/wear at edges; front flap is not price-clipped. Black cloth with bright gilt stamping to spine. Text block's top edge soiled; surface abrasions to fore-edge and bottom edge. Interior leaves are clean. Binding retains some crispness. Dorrance Review copy slip laid-in at front endpapers. Uncommon poker book by New Orleans journalist and Huey Long publicity agent Allen Nicholas Dowling writing under the card player nom de plume of Jack King which was also the name under which he published his 1940 classic "Confessions of a Poker Player.".
