Undated but mid-1850s first edition hardbacks in very good condition. Five volumes [complete] in similar condition. Some foxing to front and rear end papers, including frontispiece illustrations, and occasional main pages. Binding is tight and strong. End papers are marbled in red, blue, orange and cream. Bound in red leather with gilt lettering, five spine ribs, and some gilt embellishments. Some slight rubbing to edges, otherwise in excellent condition.
