1932. First Edition. 319 pages. Pictorial dust jacket over red cloth with black lettering to spine. Review quotes for other Weekes novels to rear jacket panel. Small number 405 to jacket spine, part of design. Binding remains firm. Pages remain bright with minimal tanning. Pencil inscription to front free end paper. Noticeable foxing to text block edges. Gutter quite loose near p240. Slight foxing to endpapers. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and noticeable rubbing to surfaces. Faint outline of jacket design to spine. Book has a slight forward lean. Clipped jacket. Jacket has moderate edge-wear with chips, tears, and creasing. Slight loss to jacket's spine ends. Slight foxing to front panel. Spine is sunned with slight droplet marks.
