Detailed advice chiefly for the watercolorist, as summarized in the subtitle. Charles Smith was a supplier of watercolor and oil paints and other artist's supplies. He sold a line of tints developed by Willson, which are advertised in the back and referred to in the text. Hard to find in complete or nice condition. Sold as is. Hardcover (original gilt- and blind-stamped boards, new cloth spine, rehinged).
