Bill Callies was a Minnesota Game Warden who retired in 1980. He wrote 60 stories in this book. Some of the stories are funny, some are exciting and all are informative. They are all factual accounts that describe the job of a Minnesota Game Warden during the era from 1960 to 1980. Bill thought being a game warden was the best job in the world and he wrote wonderful stories of his adventures.
About the Author: Bill was born in Iowa but lived most of his life in Minnesota. He was in the floor covering business in the Twin Cities when he took the test to become a game warden at age 43. He took a huge cut in pay to become a warden and was stationed at Waskish, Crosby-Ironton, Orr, and Baudette. He wrote stories after he retired but asked his children to wait until after he died to publish the book.
