First edition. With an introduction by Derek Hudson. 1 vols. 8vo. Dodgson's first book, written in 1845, when 13, for the benefit of his younger sister and brother. It was to be the first of the Dodgson "domestic magazines," a series which went on to include "The Rectory Magazine," "The Comet," "The Rosebud," "The Star," "The Will-o'-the-Wisp," "The Rectory Umbrella," and "Mischmasch".
