Usotoki Rhetoric Volume 9

A Kidnapping Shakes the Foundation of Trust!

Kanoko has realized she's in love with Iwai Soma. She becomes conscious of this as they work yet another case, but before she can act on her fluffy feelings, a new crisis emerges. While lost in her thoughts, she is kidnapped by Shiro, the elusive criminal they've been pursuing and had to deal with all this time. Now, Iwai must race against time to rescue her, but Shiro's motives are shrouded in mystery. What does he want with Kanoko, and what role does Takegami, the con artist from Shiro's past, play in his plans?

As Iwai delves deeper into the case, he uncovers a web of lies and hidden truths that challenge everything he thought he knew. Can he save Kanoko and unravel Shiro's twisted game, or will he lose her forever? For fans of historical mysteries, supernatural romance, and complex character dynamics, this volume explores themes of trust, identity, and the power of human connection in the face of deception.
