Hardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. First Edition. 3 volumes. Volume I: xvi, 385pp., (vi); Volume II: viii, 426pp., (vi); Volume III: viii, 386pp., (vi). EX-LIBRARY SET. Includes texts in English and others in Latin. Volumes are uniformly bound in their original bindings. The exterior of each volume is quite worn, though text blocks remain square and bindings largely firm, despite some cracking to hinges and a little spacing in places near gutter. Wear to exterior includes moisture stains to covers, the heaviest of which effects approximately 1" to length of covers closest to fore-edges of boards. A few words in ink on back cover of volume 1. Some additional places on exterior admit to minor stains or light spotting. Volumes also admit to a number of small to medium bumps and small worn through areas to exterior, along with medium soiling to covers. Gilt lettering on spines is a little rubbed, though all words are perfectly legible and easy to read. Gilt remains fairly bright. The aforementioned moisture stains only effect a tiny part of a very small number of leaves in margins. The text is largely free of writing, though there are a very small number of unobtrusive ink-marks to text. Leaves admit to short, unobtrusive tears and chips and minor creases to extremities, here and there. Despite wear, this scarce set maintains much of its original charm. Seller Inventory # 037452
