Basically a trade catalogue illustrating in detail the working of the Vacuum brake. Nd c. 1886. This copy has a presentation inscription from one of the engineers, Alfred L. Sacre to Mr. Joseph Brindle. There is also some ephemera included. An interesting association copy. Some water staining to top corner which only slightly affects the title page. Bound in original half leather with gilt lettered cloth covered boards. Top and bottom of spine badly rubbed and frayed. All edges & spine rubbed. Cloth marked in places. Scarce.
