An ex-library copy in original black cloth lettered in gold. The usual endpaper markings, a spine label, and neat glue-mends to paper tears at the gutters. Pencil markings to the title page/copyright page, with a "Discarded" stamp at the top corner of the title page. No edge-stamps. 436 pages. A nice association copy of this scarce seminal work, with "B.F. Finkel's Book" written in ink at the front endpaper in his hand. Mathematician Finkel (1865-1947) founded "The American Mathematical Monthly".
