Suffragist Teresa Billington-Greig helped to found the Women's Freedom League, and earlier the Women's Social and Political Union. Labor activist and suffragist Margaret G. Bondfield served as a member of Parliament, and in 1929 she was named minister of labour becoming Britains first woman cabinet official. The meeting was held under the auspices of the Women's Freedom League and the Adult Suffrage Society. Not in *Franklin* or *Krichmar*. Seller Inventory # 512503
