Publisher maroon cloth binding with gilt titles to spine and blindstamped titles and illustration to front board in good condition with a little shelf wear to top & tail of spine, some rubbing and old marks to boards and old library number in ink to spine. Inside, a faint aroma of smoke, a little yellowing to pages and 2 unobtrusive library stamps, one to pp3 in the introduction and one to pp217 in the index. A nice copy illustrated with native objects from Paul Kollmann's own private collections while a Senior Lieutenant of the Imperial Troops for German East Africa.
