Both original uniform brown cloth hard covers with negligible cover wear, gilt titles on spines, and no dust jackets. 1) The Virgin and the Gipsy is a 1st edition published in 1930, 192 pages with some minor spotting. 2) The Woman Who Rode Away and other stories published as a reprint in June 1928 after the first edition in May 1928, 292 pages. Both volumes have a name plate inside the front cover - ex libris Desmond Young, son of Baroness Cynthia Bonham-Carter. Both books in very good to near fine condition.
