Page numbers 68-69 repeated, resulting in the misnumbering of all subsequent pages.Half-title is present.Two pages of adverts to the rear.Collated, complete.'The Vision of Don Roderick' is a poem celebrating the victories of the Duke of Wellington during the Peninsular War. It is based on a historic account of the consultation of an oracle by the last Visigothic King of Spain, Roderic. It's a long panoramic poem, depicting various phases throughout the future of Spain.Written by Walter Scott, the Scottish writer of the 'Waverley' novels. With his works, he formed the basis of what we now know as a historical fiction novel. His other works include 'The Lady of the Lake', 'Ivanhoe', 'The Heart of Midlothian', and 'The Bride of Lammermoor'. In a half calf binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart, a little rubbed. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities, resulting in a small amount of loss to the extremities. A few light marks to the board. Bookseller's label to the front paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned with some scattered spots. Good. Seller Inventory # 916P44
