188 unnumbered pages including 36 pages in color and 342 black and white illustrations -- from details printed at base of last printed page. Original cloth. dj. 32 cm. Some prinprick-sized spotting on cover. Jacket has some markings and is worn along top including a good-sized triangular tear on back panel which has been visibly repaired with several short strips of adhesive paper tape. Sutnar was an Important Czech-born graphic designer who remained in the United States after he was commissioned to design the Czechoslovakian pavillion at the 1939 New York World's Fair.
