About this Item
This book is in Very Good+ to Near Fine - condition and has a Very Good+ dust jacket. The book and its contents are in clean, bright condition. The text pages are clean and bright. One page was misfolded and shows some creasing (page 547 / 548). There is a previous owner's inked name, and date (and sorority name) on the front pastedown page (neatly). The dust jacket has several nicks, beginning edge tears and edge wear / rubbing along with some sunning, especially to the spine. This book contains numerous writings from the pages of Vogue magazine: all of the works included in this volume have never been printed in any other anthology, making this a First Hardback Edition for a number of the works. Included are A Prologue to America by Thomas Wolfe, The Clark's Fork Valley, Wyoming by Ernest Hemingway (on fishing), Brooklyn is My Neighborhood by Carson McCullers, The Scars of London by Cecil Beaton, Five Pretty Little Fables by William Saroyan, Fanny - You Fool! by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings, I Saw the Moscow Blitz by Margaret Bourke-White, These Grapes need Sugar by Rex Stout, and many more.
