Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Hardcover with black cloth over boards, golden lettering across cover and along spine. Black, white, and orange DJ with white and orange text across covers and spine. Faint scuffs across back cover, likely due to shelf wear. Corners, crown and foot of spine gently bumped. Title page dated 1947. Copyright page dated only 1947. 503 pages. Illustrated maps featured throughout text. Pages clean, very lightly and evenly toned. Binding neat and tight. This volume comes from the Aviation collection of Prof. Chris Sterling. Sterling spent his lifetime teaching, writing, and collecting books on civil and military aviation. Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. Cuneo, John R. (illustrator). 1st Edition. Very good first edition. Clean, minimal wear. Black cloth with gold letters. Previous owner's name written on fep and on rear paste-down. Also embossed book stamp on bottom of title page. Edges are uniformly tanned. Bottom edge has a small whitish "stain." Pages 82 and 83 have a darkened strip. It appears a newspaper clipping (?) had been there for some time to cause that. This book covers the air forces of Germany, France and Great Britain during the first 2-1/2 years of WW I. Size: 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Book. Seller Inventory # COA000561
