The narrative elaborates on the country of the Kalkas, the desert of Gobi, the territory of the Sounite Mongols, Beijing, dress and laws of the Chinese, conversations with Catholic Missionaries, Turkestan, Little Bucharia, the country of the Soungarians, Tibet, the Chinese army, the manners and customs of the inhabitants, the geography and ethnography of Mongolia and the country of the Tsakhars.
