The section on Pyrrhonism is a supplement, running to 100 pages. It largely argues that skepticism does not have positive social effects. This is the true first edition, 1761, with the title-page date, at least, the year before the more common 1762 edition. Comparing this copy with the BnF Gallica on-line editon, the pagination is the same as the 1762 edittion, with a title-page that is exactly like the 1762 title-page except for the date. Checking random pages along the diagonal from upper left to lower right, the type-setting for the 1761 and the 1762 is the same. The same word-segments show up along that diagonal. According to WorldCat, the only copy with the 1761 date in a library is at the St. Gallens Bibliotheknetz. This copy is the same size as the 1762 edition, ~10 x 16 x 3 cm.
