Small quarto, brown "leatherette" cloth covers (approx. 6 1/2" wide by 9 7/8" tall / 25 cm) 101 pages. Inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper. "During 1918, the British Government, through its Ministry of Information, invited four groups of American newspaper men to visit Great Britain and the Western battle areas." The last of these groups, that representing the religious press, included the author, and this book is his account of that experience. Covers have slight wear at edges, still very good. Not illustrated. 092508F.

Established in 1984, Alkahest Bookshop took over the space and stock of the Atheneum Bookstore on Central St. in Evanston, IL. For many years we were a partner in Chicago Rare Book Center, which closed in 2017. We are now on-line, and have a select general stock, with large sections on U.S. history, art, and literature.
