A lovely clean copy of this very extensive account of the revolutionary war in Russia. Original red cloth with gilt titles to the backstrip, pp. xiii, 469, illustrated copiously with photographs and maps including 2 fold-outs. Fore-edge untrimmed. The corners are bumped and the crown somewhat crushed. Neat previous owner name and date to the verso of the front endpaper. The book is square and tight, the covers and contents very clean (one solitary spot to the margin of one page). Top and bottom edges slightly dust-stained but this is a VG copy, lacking dustjacket.
