FIRST EDITION 1714, 8vo, approximately 180 x 110 mm, 7 x 4¼ inches, engraved frontispiece by Hulsbergh of men fishing with Windsor Castle background, with tissue guard, woodcut head- and tailpieces, woodcut initials, pages: Title page, 4 pages of Preface, 1-111, [1] last page is index, blank sheets at rear to pad out the book, bound in half green morocco, gilt lettering with gilt angling motifs between raised bands to spine, marbled boards with double gilt dividing rules, marbled endpapers, all edges gilt. Binding slightly rubbed, with loss to the gilt date at bottom of spine, head of spine rubbed, corners rubbed and slight shelf wear to edges, frontispiece slightly shaved at outer margin, with loss to black border lines, no loss to image, tip of lower outer corner of title page neatly repaired, occasional pale staining to margins, a few margins a little dusty, otherwise a very good clean copy.
