Fp: Our windjammer the Bougainville. Top outside edges tinted. Eps: Track of the Bougainville between Vancouver and New Caledonia. Cloth covers with light wear/soiling, decoration on front board, title on front board and a slightly sunned spine. Signature of previous owner on FFEP, o/wise a near fine copy. 22.5 x 16. 1926 voyage of 2 young American girls on one of the last French windjammers owned by Compagnie Navale de l'Océanie. Sailing from Vancouver to Nouméa by way of Fiji. The Bougainville was the former Star of Peru and ended her days as a pontoon carrying nickel ore, in New Caledonia waters. Seller Inventory # 73269
