Brown cloth with title on paper labels on the spine. Frontispieces have tissue guards, and captions. Fore edge of text untrimmed; nice wide margins. Title labels toned and some with wear. All volumes with the same previous owner's handsome book plate. Light shelf wear. Some text signatures remain unopened. Not available for expedited or overseas shipping. The plates are dated and copyrighted to the Edinburgh Society, 1909. Quarter bound pebbled red leather with marbled paper. Bright gilt titles and devices to the spine. Gilt top edge with untrimmed bottom and fore-edges. Some light rubbing to extremities or chipping to spine ends with a bit of shelfwear here and there but over all they're in Very Good Plus condition. Interiors are free of any writing or bookplates. Occasional finger smudge or bit of age toning but generally are remarkably clean and unmarked. Tissue guards present to the frontis in all volumes. Occasional hinge is starting but firm.
