Erased pencil price on FFEP corner. Front pastedown shows a tiny, faint shadow of an old bookseller (barely.) Original DJ with $3.95 price intact on flap. DJ shows a couple of tiny, shallow edge chips. Minimal soiling. A near fine copy in VG+ DJ. One of Burgess' more difficult first printings to find in near fine or better condition.
