About the Author
Gordon S. Jackson, a native of South Africa, received his undergraduate degree in that country, and later earned his M.A. in communications from Wheaton College in Illinois. He worked at a weekly news-magazine in Johannesburg before completing his doctorate in mass communication at Indiana University. He has written three other anthologies of quotes, including "Never Scratch a Tiger with a Short Stick," "Quotes for the Journey," and "Outside Insights." Jackson is a faculty member at Whitworth College and has served as a newspaper ombudsman in Spokane, Washington.
