Gilt illustrated seal of Watertown on the front cover. Gilt title on the spine. Cloth faded a bit upper edge of the front cover. Light wear to the cloth extremities. Previous owner armorial bookplate "Hoar" on the front paste down. Another owner inscription in the upper right corner right front flyleaf. A small pencil note on the rear end sheet states this copy is from Senator Hoar's library. Interior contents clean. This is the first volume with later volumes to follow. Complete.
