1881, First Edition as no other stated. One of Sir Walter Scott's Waverly Novels. In uniform full morocco binding with gilt stamping to spine and blind stamping to boards. Front board has slight rubbing along the head and tail of spine as well as the joints. Internally, firmly bound with clean and unmarked pages. Frontispiece and vignette title page along with several vignettes and full page illustrations throughout. There is a stamp of European Royal, Marie Therese of Austria to the verso of the front endpaper. Marie Therese was the second wife of Ferdinand II of the Two Sicilies. The Waverley Novels are a long series by Sir Walter Scott. They were the most widely read works of their time and remained as popular for nearly a century. Seller Inventory # 908
