Arthur (Usher) Fellig was born in Ukraine in 1899 (and passed away in New York in 1968), but became known by his pseudonym Weegee. He was one of the very first "photojournalists" to use police-scanner to enable him to arrive at crime scenes often before even the homicide detectives did, but he had preternatural senses, too. Other journalists, it is said, asked him if he used a Ouja-board to find the crime scenes, but though he said yes, he didn't know how to spell Ouja . . . Thus was born his professional pseudonym. This fine exemplar covers methods and processes such as photocaricature, kaleidoscope, use of mirrors and photomontage, infrared light, and the like. Sturdy, attractive, tightly bound, internally clean hardcover copy, with unbruised tips, neat and tidy paste-downs; not ex-library, with neither highlighting nor underlining. Bound handsomely in black cloth over boards, his likeness stamped in silver to front cover, silver lettering to spine. Bright and shiny dust jacket, illustrated, showing only very minor wear beyond rubbing to edges, spine head and foot, protected by a plastic coat, not price-clipped. Previous owner's address label inside front flap. [4], 5-128 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets. Seller Inventory # 351401

Store Description
I've done my best to state clearly and truthfully the condition of each and
every book I have listed on-line. Sometimes, however, books change condition
insofar as they sit on the shelf for a long time, get moved by customers, get
taken to and from book fairs, and so on. If for some reason you don't like your
purchase or it arrives somehow damaged, or if it doesn't get to you at all, you
might be eligible for a refund within 30 days of the estimated delivery date.

Most orders will ship within one to two business days, but often times, they
will go out on the same day as they are ordered. I've based my shipping
costs on the assumption of books weighing 2.2
LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized (extra thick, extra
long, etc.), I may contact you to let you know that extra shipping is
required. Bubble mailers and boxes will be expertly and securely wrapped and
monitored. Please contact us if there is anything extra or different you need us to do.
