About the Author

Mark DeFoe has published nine books of poetry, the latest entitled Ten Scenes with Mocking Bird, the prize winner in the Poems and Plays chapbook competition for 2009. His work has been published widely in the US, Canada and Great Britain. He is the winner of the 2005 Chautauqua Literary Journal national poetry contest and was awarded West Virginia Commission on the Arts Fellowships in literature in 1998 and 2003. His poems have appeared in Poetry, Paris Review, Kenyon Review, Yale Review, Denver Quarterly, Christian Science Monitor, Poetry Ireland Review, Mississippi Review, Poetry International, New Letters and many other magazines and journals. He lives in Buckhannon, WV, with his wife Jeanne, a pianist.
