It has very little prose but it has dozens and dozens of black-and-white illustrations - engravings and photographs by many many contributors/artists. This book was published by Hastings House in 1946 and appears to be a First Edition but is not specifically stated as such. It is NOT an ex-library copy - is a hard cover book in very good condition and has no dust jacket. It does have the name of a previous owner written neatly on the front paste down end page. The book is 7 1/8" by 9 3/8" and has 168 pages with a Table of Contents leading the reader to a great look at "how it used to be." Thank you!
