About this Item

180 pages + 2 folding maps before title page, one of the whole of Yorkshire and one of the West Riding. This volume is complete in itself but is part of a region by region work of British topography. This copy is in the original 1818 printed buff colour wrappers, pages uncut, some corner curling and one or two pages with odd age spotting, pages 32-36 have a small loss to top edge due to careless opening when top edge was joined, slight loss to several words. Wrappers dusty and split started at spine edge, but complete. A rare survivor in this condition. 12mo. *Has a list of fairs at all the places in this part of Yorkshire with days and items sold and also distances and routes between towns and villages such as route and mileage from a Journey Ingleton to Rotheram, with inns and watering stops on the way, etc.

We very rarely use "fine" or "mint" as a description, mainly due to the age and the fact that 99.9% of what we sell has been pre-owned and therefor Fine would not be a term for a book we sell despite its fine-like appearance. We always take items back unreservedly if not in the condition as described. We always try to describe fully.
