First Edition, Third Impression, 1945. Hardback. Green cloth. 128 pages. 22 photographic plates to rear. 19.5 x 14 cm. Weighs 249 grams. Ex Libris of F.W. Pinkard inside front board. Ex Libris shows an 'alchemical laboratory' taken from Elias Ashmole's 'Theatrum Chemicum Britannicum', published London, 1652. Pinkard was a published chemist and Seniour Lecturer in Chemistry at Birmingham University. Some discolouration and light wear to binding including some fading loss to lettering on spine.
