B&W Illustrations; This book is in Very Good+ condition and has a Very Good+ dust jacket. The book and its contents are in mostly clean, bright condition. There is some light bumping to the spine ends of the book covers. The text pages are clean and bright, with the exception of the front endpaper which has some glue residue. The dust jacket has several small edge tears, nicks ans some ground-in dirt. "Perhapsd the most literary friendship of this century was that between Alice Toklas and Gertrude Stein. Sometime after World War One, Gertrude Stein began urging Miss Toklas to write to write her autobiography. But Miss Toklas did not find the time.". Seller Inventory # 30704
