Anglo-Irish journalist Aodh De Blacum (1890-1951) was an ardent Republican who managed to achieve imprisonment by both the British and the Irish Free State; his reputation is tarnished by his support for Franco during the Spanish Civil War. This is a Very Good copy of his explanation of Irish Republicanism. An uncommon to scarce title. (His political writings are also less common than his fiction.) Green cloth binding (now faded to an olive hue), with black lettering on the front and spine. Clean text; 247 pages. There is a bump/crease on the front cover; front and rear gutters are cracked, but holding. No dustwrapper. Because of the rather shaken feel, Quercus offers this as a Binding Copy, in need of some restoration or repair. Size: 8vo - over 7�" - 9�" tall. Seller Inventory # 002403
