An "effective and comprehensive analysis of value theory" both subjective and objective, dealing with the views of von Meinong, von Ehrenfels, Perry, the Logical Positivists, Max Scheler. Frondizi, from a prominent Argentinian family (his brother was President from 1958-1962), was educated at Harvard, the University of Michigan, and in Mexico; and taught in Buenos Aires until the military purge of academics in 1966 led to his exile, after which he taught at several American universities. Hardcover in jacket, as pictured. Light wear to book, ink name on title page; price-clipped jacket shows light wear & minor rubbing, some offsetting of cover text.
