This book will not just delight transport enthusiasts; it will captivate anyone with an interest in the history of Perth. The dozens of excellent and historic transport photographs also show views of a city of Perth long since vanished. There are many photographs of the tram system and horse-drawn traffic locomotives a paddle steamer bicycles cars buses and delivery vehicles are all captured going about their daily business in and around the city. Perth's important history as a railway hub is well documented while more unusual subjects include a fair on the South Inch and a cricket match on the North Inch (you'll need to read the book to discover the 'wheels' connection).
