Undated. There is a bookplate to inside front board for school prize. There is a coloured frontispiece of a boy on a pony with a dog running beside; also a further three colour full page illustrations by Charles Robinson; also many b/w drawings by the artist, some full page. The frontispiece as a slight crease down the left side; very slight foxing and some tanning to page facing inside front board; foxing and lightly tanned to left side of page facing inside back board. The main body of the book is very good with some pages having a very light grey/light brown small mark to edge. The boards have a boy with gun and three dogs set against lawn and trees; the spine has the same boy with what looks like a catapult; top front right corners with a small bit of the surface covering missing; slightly bumped to front bottom right corner. The spine has very slight wear to top and bottom. The book is Fondly Inscribed To Wyndham and Vivian (this is in print). Wyndham being John Wyndham. This is a scarce title.
