Add to basketWhy Your Child Is Hyperactive by Ben F. Feingold, M.D. Random House, New York, 1975. Hardcover in original dust jacket. ISBN 0394493435.
An important period work in the history of hyperactivity, childhood behavioral disorders, nutrition, and food-additive research by pediatrician and allergist Ben F. Feingold.
Feingold proposed that artificial food colors, artificial flavors, and certain other food additives could contribute to hyperactivity and learning or behavioral difficulties in some children. His dietary approach subsequently became widely known as the Feingold Diet.
An interesting historical source for readers and researchers studying pediatrics, childhood hyperactivity and hyperkinesis, ADHD, behavioral medicine, nutrition, food additives, diet therapy, learning disabilities, pediatric allergy, and the history of approaches to childhood behavioral disorders.
