Hardcover, two volumes in one. 459 total pages. Good- (minus) condition.Size 7"x4.5". Second edition (the 1st edition was published in New York, 1823), rebound and issued in 1876 after the discovery of a number of "stored away and neglected" copies. An historical novel concerning Ulstermen during Braddock's campaign in Pennsylvania in the French and Indian Wars. Exterior has rubs & soiling. Previous owner's name on front fly. Interior hinges split, binding remains sound. Moderate foxing in text, dampstain on bottom edge margins of Vol. 1.
