Pages are crisp, clean and unmarked. Typophile Chap Book # 57. First Edition. Limited to 750 copies. Title-page in black and green. Printed letterpress on Mohawk Superfine paper, and bound at The Stinehour Press. The illustrations were printed in offset by The Meriden Gravure Company. 4.5" wide by 7" tall. "500 copies have been made for the Typophiles and 250 copies for alumni of The Printing House of William Edwin Rudge and the friends of Meriden-Stinehour Press, Fall 1984." A brief biography and appreciation of master printer William Edwin Rudge (1876-1931). 32 pages of title-page facsimiles and other illustrations. Includes a 15-page chronological bibliography of the most notable books printed by Rudge. Bound in the original red and greenish-blue decorated paper-covered boards with a brown cloth spine.
