First Edition Thus (presumed). Full Leather. Preface dated 1953, but appears to be a later, "deluxe", edition. Very attractive on the shelf and a nice reading copy. Minor shelf/edge wear, three very small/subtle scratches at spine, else tight, bright and unmarred. Padded green leather boards, gilt underboard, gilt lettering at spine, beige endpages, aeg. 8vo. lii, 1376pp. Index. Errata printed at rear.
