This VG+ quality and possible first edition book was copyrighted in 1939 and is published by the W. A.Wilde Company; it is 8-1/4" tall with 327 numbered pages of text. This book is square, extremely clean, free of corner bumps and edge dings; the head and heel of the spine are lightly bumped with slight wear and color loss but no fraying; the bottom edges have a very slight amount of wear. The spine is very clean, not faded or worn, and the lettering is clear and distinct; the front panel is also quite clean and has very little wear. The interior is free of writing, stray marks, stains of any sort and paper damage of any type. Both hinges are quite strong and not damaged in any fashion. The text paper is moderately toned and the paper remains extremely flexible. The book has no remainder mark and is not a former library book. It has a frontis + 2 (all photographs) on coated paper. There is no book list in this book. The G+ quality jacket is reasonably clean with only tiny chips at both front corners and at the head and heel of the spine, with a 1" tear at the top of the front panel. The issue with the jacket is the spine--it is very faded, to the point where the red-orange bands are gone, along with all the lettering that is supposed to be there; plus it is also moderately soiled and darkened. The dramatic image on the front panel almost makes up for the spine. There is no book list on the jacket but the rear flap has a synopsis for the previous book in this series.
