1976. First edition. Unpaginated but with 24 pages including 11 full-page colour illustrations and other in-text colour illustrations. There is an additional double-page colour illustration at the start and end of the book. This book for the young reader is one of the publisher's 'Picture Lions' series for the very young reader. It tells the story of three young children who go out for a walk on a snowy afternoon and find a variety of things to interest and delight them. Most exciting of all, is a surprise discovery. The book is staple-bound in the original illustrated card covers and is in very good condition with some shelf wear to the covers and slight rusting to the staples binding the book. The contents are secure and clean with no inscription. Slight musty smell but otherwise in excellent condition.
